Marking issues assigned to you as High Priority
Hi,

Currently there is no difference in the notification email if an issue is assigned to a different person (and I receive the email notification just because I was involved in the discussion before) or when it is assigned to myself (action on me).

I suggest to automatically mark all issues assigned directly to myself as 'High Priority'

Thanks,
mau.

Mau, I use a rule that I set up in my email software to tag messages with priority labels/colors based on subject/content. Perhaps your email client can do the same?

I've already created couple rules in outlook based on the subject/content - it's working OK.

I guess it's a low priotity - it would be just nice to have 'out of the box'. When our customers receive a lot of notifications from bugtrack very often they ignore them all.. maybe if we have that feature enabled by default they would put more attension to email notifications.

...well ;-)

I wasn't specific enough - all BT users tend to ignore emails if volume of emails is too high :-)

It's like a spam fight - you don't need it but spammers think you do :)

If the message is send directly to you and it has High priority, this usually means it requires immediate attention. I guess issue assignment is not (always) such a case. Thus you'll simply denominate the value of priority and users will start to ignore *all* high priority messages.
