Control automatical assignment on "Resolve" action
Currently, when you resolve an item, the workflow automatically assigns it to the person who opened it.
I would like to be able to customize this behaviour like with the "assign to role" feature, so that it is possible e.g. QA or product manager checks the resolved bug, before the "customer" (person who opened the bug) receives it.
This is because in >98% customers can open, but not close the tickets.

This feature would reduce manual reassignment of resolved items; and eliminate cases, where this is forgotten.

I second this idea as we have found the resolved workflow to be a little cumbersome as described above. The above suggestion will definitely reduce the reassignments of resolved issue.

On RESOLVE, issues currently silently reassign themselves to their originator, meaning you then need to re- reassign these back to whoever was previosly holding it, if that's what you want to do.

I propose we get a mechanism to choose not to do this. At the simplest, a simple global switch that enabled or disabled this, but perhaps a better solution would be to provide an "Assign To" drop down when Resolving, which could default to the originator for sure, but which the user could change.

That would preserve current functionality as the default but allow it to be used differently if required.

I would really like to see this default to "Select.." or something, and not the alphabetically first person in the list. Too often people inadvertently assign to someone without thinking about it (and that person is on my doorstep asking why) ... force them to think about their choice! :-o

..and I should say that this would apply to the "Assign to..." dropdown, too!!!
