Department View
As a manager of a department, I would like have a departmental view that allows me to see all items assigned to my department and to see who the are assigned to. In other words, I want to manage at the deparment level and not at the individual level. Within this view, I would like to be able to group by Assigned To, Fix For, or Priority.

Hello Jeffrey,

you may easily see everyone's "My Stuff" through the "Assigned To" section of the [Stats page:](https://www.bugtrack.net/secure/stat.aspx) by clicking an appropriate user name.

Thank you,
Val

Thanks Val. What you say is true and I forgot about this ability. It does not provide exactly what I want. I would like a departmental view that allows me to see all items assigned to my department and to see who the are assigned to. In other words, I want to manage at the deparment level and not at the individual level. I will edit my idea (if possible)

I recently added a synonymous issue ["Assign To" field in STATS should cluster by User Group] which, I believe, is the same thing that Jeffrey is asking for. Below is the explanation I gave when opening the other idea. Given that they are 100% synonymous, may I suggest the Bugtrack team to close mine, and keep the follow-on on Jeffrey's:

_"Summary: The "Assign To" field in the user-configurable Preferences for the "Stats" field presently sorts open all users [with assigned issues or bugs] alphabetically. In a multi-organization, multi-departamental structure, alphabetical order is not always the handiest form.

This selection field should offer an option "Assign To by Group/Person" which pre-groups the users by their Group (as defined in the Users' structure) and also allows to click on the group's name to select items assigned to all users of the same Group. Which is often what the group's manager, and/or coworkers, will want to see."_
